The non-combustible stone wool core is engineered from natural volcanic basalt rock, heated to 1500°C and spun into high-density mineral fibres. Beyond fire safety, the same dense mineral fibre core acts as a powerful thermal break and natural sound barrier simultaneously — reducing noise transmission by approximately 30dB, and in perforated-face configurations achieving an acoustic absorption index of up to 0.85.
